We have been in the business of apartment rentals and general tourist services in Rio since 1999. Our clients come from all over the world. The big difference between us and the other rental agencies is that we not only rent the apartments like others do, but we also welcome you as part of the family and offer you all the services to make your stay in Brazil even more comfortable. Most of our clients have become good friends of ours.
History:
The Copa Apartments & Tour belongs to the family formed of the mother Dieine Pires and the son Eric Pires. Dieine and Eric used to live in a small country city in the state of Minas Gerais, when certain day Dieine decided to try a better life in Rio de Janeiro, the famous marvelous city! She started living in her sister’s apartment, as her sister was living in Rio already, in Catete more exactly. In short, she got a job as an attendant in a photography store in Leblon, close to where her sister used to work.
Despite the fact Dieine’s sister was very welcome to her and helped her to build a new life in Rio, Dieine wanted independence, in fact, that’s what she was looking for in Rio. Thus, when she had some money saved, she decided to look for an apartment to split with a friend in Copacabana. That’s when Dieine found out about the short term rental apartments! As she did not have a guarantor, she had to rent an apartment for a short term in Copacabana, from a guy that used to manage a few apartments.
By being in a touristic area of Copacabana and having a great charisma, Dieine started to meet lot of tourists, which made her to start earning an extra income by referring to them some apartments for rent in Rio that she knew about. By this time, Eric was studying in a good school in Copacabana and was beginning to enter in the wide world of the web and computers. Eric, with an enterprising spirit that seems to be in his blood, realized that the apartments business could show more results if professionalized. Thus, he had the idea to create an apartment rental agency which included some hospitality services. Eric then started to study webdesign so as he could build the agency’s website. When the website was ready and the marketing was intensified, the whole family’s income was coming from the apartment rentals for short term in Copacabana. Dieine and Eric got the exclusivity on the managing of various apartments in Rio and, with a lot of hard work, they bought their first property.
Nowadays the family owns two properties in Copacabana and is still strongly running the Copa Apartments & Tour, which got much credibility and made various friends around the world along the years.
